happy new year, best year ever ♡

what a life...what a liiiiife. happy new year. 2014 was the best year ever, also 26 has been the best age ever so far, but now it is the year 2015, began in sunny goa, india with a bunch of awesome people: team melbourne-england-finland plus my goan friends babal and max and their friends and family i got to meet!

the main reason of taking a year off and coming to india was to have time for all the artistic kinda stuff like doing yoga and meditation, making songs and writing lyrics and ideas for books and what not, but the biggest thing i learned last year is that things happen the way they do and you can choose how to react to them and how to deal with them, that everyone has their own path to walk on and own challenges to overcome. even that i've been a bit anxious about not having enough time for myself, it has been an awesome trip so far. and i still can choose everyday how to spend my time, so now i just relax, let life happen and enjoy all parts of it.

i arrived at kudle beach, gokarna on the 19th. the sydney guys were already there and olys birthday was on the 20th. such a beautiful place. so chilled out, not that over developed than it could be, full of amazing souls getting together and everyone doing their own things. people were so artistic and spiritual, and i loved the feeling of freedom. powerful vibes. definitely found my place.

in finland (and in europe in general?) we celebrate christmas on christmas eve. in gokarna, with loads of europeans around, christmas eve was something like this. i woke up before ten in me and annas pretty little hut, found my zen doing some yoga-stretch-dancing for a while in peace and quiet and went for a fruit salad in sea rock cafe where the guys were staying at. after that i went for a swim (did some yoga-strtch-exersize-swimming) and went after lucian (a new australian guy) and holden to the other end of the beach and did some hula hoops there with some spanish people. also i had my camera with me so i practised taking some cool pictures. holden took a few shots of me giving a massage to a cow..or a bull..male cow.. then i went for lunch @ munchies with abe, lucian, thibault (danish-french guy) and holden and had an amazing avocado shake and a hummus-eggplant sandwich. i got myself ready for the night and chilled out with everyone. abe and otis played guitars, seamus played his keybords, jordan played harmonica and sometimes some of them sang.

a bunch of swedish people were cooking glög, a traditional scandinavian christmas drink and there was a gathering with two guitars and some singing. after sunset the gathering shifted to the beach with a bonfire. then our gang went for dinner again @ munchies (earlier the guys found every dish very good). i had hummuspita with chips and salad. then i called my sister on viber and talked with my family. after dinner i participated a hippie circle with dancing, while others were making music without any other instruments than themselves. it was crazy, looked like some kind of tribe partying. but the energy was awesome. abe, seamus and holdens room was a party room and everyone hung out there most of the time. also there was music so i could dance.

the other christmas days were also partying in the 'partyroom', but not so christmassy. then i left to goa to meet the melbournes (raudie, sean, anthony) because they didn't come to gokarna cause they missed their bus and english (hannah and matt). we had a whole house by ourselves, and 6 new melbournes were there too. i partied for two nights with this group in ashvem goa, but we didnt go to any clubs and i needed some full power dancing so i went to anjuna to meet my goa boys babal and max, and got to know their lives and friends and partied with them full power. they took so good care of me, especially babal. during the days i hung out in funky monkey hostel where babal worked. it's johans friends place and was really nice. like prison hostel but much much nicer. there i showered and took a nap when could. i had rented a scooter so i also drove to ashvem to hang out with the others but came down to anjuna to party. we slept at babals cousins restaurant (ganga riverside) a few hours every night which was a bit chilly but nice, and so exhausting after one week of too little sleep and full power partying.

new years eve was pretty shit. i went to ashvem for a nap and to pick the guys up to go to eat and preparty at ganga riverside, but on the way matt and hannah's scooter crashed into a car in which was a very aggressive indian guy, yelling that he's gonna break their legs and kill them, and they drove away a bit scared of the guy, making the situation even worse because after that the mad guy went back into his car, made a u turn and chased them down just to hit the scooter again and matt and hannah fell with the scooter and flew a few meters and hannah got a fleshy wound on her leg. then there was blood, ambulance, police, police station shit, hospital shit, and everyone had lost their party feeling which was great back at the house before leaving to anjuna. when the year changed some of us were having dinner at a place near the hospital and others were still in the hospital. babal came to pick me up cause the locals were all waiting for me and my friends to arrive, but i went alone. i got a text later that they are on their way to anjuna and i met them at curlies on the beach.

somehow i lost everyone at some point and we ended up going to geetas home with babal and called max to come there and had a nice ending for a not so nice night. the music from hilltop club was so loud we could hear it there and it was impossible to sleep there. we tried sleeping for one hour till nine but couldn't and went back to funky monkey. i really felt like i have to get some sleep soon and decided to go back to gokarna that day. also abe had messaged me that they were going to check hampi out the next day. so i ended up sharing a scootercab, one local bus, a night bus and another cab with a guy from funky monkey.

i got to gokarna around 3 am, left a note to the sydneys that dont leave without me and woke up at 7.30am to abe knocking on my door that we're leaving at 9. shiiiieeet. i reeeeally needed one shanti day and lots of sleep. anyway i tagged along and it wasnt so bad. took some valium for the bus ride and slept some of it. and hampi was amazing. very laid back place. i passed out pretty early the first night and slept like a baby.

everyone rented motorbikes (i sat at the back of abes and just enjoyed the views) and next days we drove around hampi. the landscape there while driving around was so good. we jumped to the lake off a rock and went to find some ruins and hanumans (one hindu god) birth place called monkey temple. on the 6th the sydneys were leaving towards kochi to catch a flight to taiwan so i booked my bus back to gokarna to see the melbournes once again before they continue to the north.

so now im back in gokarna, om beach, finally have my own room and all is good. melbournes left yesterday and the day before, but matt and hannah are still here. love everyone around me, love being by myself, love meeting new people and finding like minded ones. learning new things from everyone by just being there and talking.

oh yeah i hurt my leg , another motorbike accident, there've been so many of them, but my leg touched the f*cking hot pipe and burned pretty bad. doesnt hurt thou and people around me have been doctors and taken care of my wound.

more pictures later, finally got the writing part done.

congrats if you got through ! ;)

xxx Sessa
